What sets Team WIsconsin Lacrosse™ apart from other travel programs? Sconnie Lacrosse is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to long-term player development and growing the game of lacrosse in local communities. Sconnie Lacrosse advocates for school-based teams during the regular, spring season. Team Wisconsin Lacrosse provides a unique developmental opportunity for athletes from many different schools and communities to play together with our highly-experienced coaching staff against the best teams in the Midwest during the summer and fall lacrosse seasons.
Team WIsconsin Lacrosse™ began as part of Lacrosse America's programming in the Fox Cities. After achieving the goal of launching numerous school-based programs in the community, program offerings began to focus on long-term player development as well as a unique, summer and fall travel team program. In 2011, our travel teams officially became known as Team WIsconsin Lacrosse (Team WI).
Team WIsconsin players represent 20+ High School programs from 5 different states. Since 2012, six teams have qualified for a national-level championship event and 30+ Team WIsconsin Alumni have gone on to play lacrosse at the collegiate level. Our teams are coached by local High School varsity coaches and current collegiate players.
Team WIsconsin Lacrosse fields competitive teams for the state, regional and national summer and fall tournament circuit and provides resources and guidance in the college-recruiting process. We thoughtfully choose tournaments that provide high-quality competition for players and a good experience for families. The Team WIsconsin experience is like no other travel team!
The winter offseason is when a player will make the biggest strides in his game. Our program is designed to balance the needs of multi-sport athletes with the need to continue developing skills. This program is designed to provide an opportunity for all athletes to stay active, advance their skills and to become successful lacrosse players.
Our Winter Indoor Program combines intensive, small-group training with fun, chumash lacrosse games. The program is split into two 7-week sessions. Each week, players will spend time working in small groups to ensure maximum repetitions with our highly-experienced coaching staff. Each day will conclude with time set aside for chumash lacrosse games to reinforce skills in a fun, fast-paced setting.
Lacrosse is known as the "fastest game on two feet," so keeping up can be difficult! Start your new player out with a solid foundation. Our coaching staff has over 10 years of experience teaching introductory level lacrosse.
Our Intro to Lacrosse program is designed to teach the basic skills of lacrosse to boys and girls. This includes: cradling, scooping, catching, throwing and shooting. This is a non-contact class and loaner equipment will be available, although you are welcome to use your own equipment if you have it.
Sconnie Lacrosse's Summer & Fall Clinics provide player development in a fun, competitive atmosphere for athletes who want to continue their spring season without the practice and travel demands of a summer or fall travel team.
Each clinic is a 6-week program that combines instruction with competitive league play. This program is open to experienced players of all ages. Athletes compete against players of like-ability. All players must have their own lacrosse equipment.
